Walmart Supercenter

I was thrilled to find Colorado postcards and souvenirs at Walmart. They have a great selection! I just wish they had one for Erie, where I'm visiting.

It's Walmart, so it's a typical experience. The store is huge, and while it can be overwhelming, I did encounter some really helpful employees. Two of them proactively asked if I needed assistance. The cashier was friendly too. My main complaint is that the bathrooms need attention.

The incompetence at the customer service counter was unbelievable. Five employees were behind the counter, but only three were helping one customer, while two others just stood there smiling and doing nothing. I waited 20 minutes just to buy a book of stamps. It was ridiculous.

Nobody at Walmart seems to know where anything is, and they're not willing to help you find it. I asked three different employees about an item, and they all just vaguely pointed "over there" and sent me in the wrong direction. Employees are constantly on their phones in the aisles, getting in the way. Products are often misplaced, so you can't find what you're looking for or know the price. There are never enough registers open, and then they hassle you for your receipt as you leave. And if you dare to go in near closing time, the guy at the door acts like you're personally inconveniencing him.

The lady at self-checkout this morning was incredibly unprofessional. She stopped me from checking out because she thought I had more than 15 items, even though I had exactly 15. She made me go to a different checkout line. If she can't accurately count items and prevent theft, maybe they shouldn't have self-checkout at all.

Walmart is my one-stop shop for everything. They have a huge variety of products, and the prices are generally good. It can get crowded, but the convenience usually outweighs that.
