Hats off to Doug and his team at University Bicycles! I was visiting Boulder during a busy holiday week and reserved a Yeti SB120 for a 3-day rental. What a wonderful experience. The entire process was seamless. From walking in the front door, being directed to the rental counter, setting the bike up for me and giving me suggestions for local rides - everyone was friendly, available and taking extra care to assure I was happy. I had a blast on the trails (I only wish I had had more time) and had zero issues with the bike. I’m looking forward to my next visit to Boulder!!! (BTW, they have a 24-hour vending machine outside the store if you need bike-related stuff during their off-hours)

University Bicycles is the single BEST place to rent a bike in Boulder. They are polite and professional. The second I walked through the front door I was greeted and helped out. Nolan made sure my rental bike was perfect and gave me suggestions on where to go. Their hours are 10am-7pm Monday-Friday. 10am-6pm on Saturday. 10am-5pm on Sunday. Definitely check them out! 5/5 stars!

Rented gravel bikes. A guy at the shop helped us find a trail nearby. It was great until I fell going downhill due to a surprising soft spot in the gravel on a turn (newbie). I got a huge cut on my arm. When we got back to the shop to return the bikes, Marissa (I hope that’s her name, I was about to pass out from all the pain, but it definitely started with an M), performed first aid on me. She mentioned she had wilderness training. Anyway, she pointed us to an Urgent Care clinic and when I got there, the doctor, completely unprompted, said the bandage job was great, then later, again unprompted that the wound was cleaned nicely. I got 7 stitches. That was not an easy wound to handle for a normal person. So thank you to Marissa for your gentle and quality care! The bikes were gorgeous and comfortable and I’m sad we didn’t get more time with them.

After a rough (at best) experience elsewhere I had an awesome experience with the service staff here. I have been here several times over the years and it's what I have come to expect. Jack in the shop, offered up his own time and suggestions when I bought some break pads for my gravel bike. I know a fair amount about bikes, but not everything or even close. We talked for a few minutes or so about what I had going on and he gave me good direction, because he's got a lot of passion for what he does. Sometimes bike shops aren't super accommodating for home bike techs so this was nice. I didn't ask for any of what he gave me, he just did it. Bike shops can be cliques. If this is one, I have never noticed it because passion for biking is forward here. Thanks for a refreshing experience, Jack. I needed it and had a great ride!

Marissa and the team were fantastic. I have been looking to buy a new gravel bike. I took a test ride, I rented and went back and forth over a few weeks. They were super knowledgable, patient and found me a great deal on a bike from their rental fleet! Exceeded my hopes. I am excited for the bike and happy to be a costumer for life.
