The Home Depot

I refuse to share my disappointing experience today at Lowe's. Rather, they can take lessons from this Home Depot! I was greeted 3 times before reaching my destination where Liz, Jesse and Shy promptly and professionally addressed my needs and went above and beyond. I will include this experience as I train and develop my managers moving forward.

Kristin Chase in Kitchen Design totally rocks! She is knowledgeable, friendly, and warm. She helped me pick cabinets for my basement wet bar, helped design, and gave me all the professional help I needed. Home Depot is lucky to have such a great team member!

This is a great place if you need building supplies, house items, it has a place you can get plants and a holiday decor too! The staff was very nice, she helped me find what I was looking for and the man who checked me out was friendly also. I had went a few months ago to get 1 18 foot plank, they cut it to the sizes I needed for free and they were chill. I used the planks and cut the even further and sanded, stained and glazed it. A lot of my supplies came from home Depot.

Aerator rental was well below standard. 3 of 5 water jugs leaked and lost half of the water during the process. The securing pin that was provided to secure the hitch to my Mule was a total piece of crap. It sheared itself off after 15 minutes of use. Had to stop and find a pin in my toolbox to finish the job.

After completing exhaustive, mind-numbing online research, I went to the Home Depot store in Hanover, PA, to purchase an ironing board. I was seeking a non-standard sized board that offered stability, durability and a few specific features; and I wanted it now! I perused the isles for a bit then came upon a staff member, Ronnie, and asked him where the item was. He stopped working on the task he was involved with and brought the item up on his phone to confirm what I was looking for and how to get it. I was a tad disappointed and frustrated to learn that it was an online-only-purchase item; however, when I thanked him and said I would go to Customer Service to order it, Ronnie offered to help me, and he graciously completed the online transaction for me. I was struck by his willingness, efficiency and kindness in getting this item purchased for me. His level of commitment to helping customers - from start to finish - is rare. I am profoundly grateful that I happened upon this person who wholeheartedly demonstrated what it is to be an outstanding employee and, more importantly, what it is to be a good human.
