In person the store, employees and inventory are amazing. They always have cool stuff for cheap. They even sometimes have stuff with factory warranty! Highly recommend at least stopping by if you are looking for hardware.

I own a small construction company, we’ve been going to Tams for 8+/- years for all of our computer needs. For all 8 years they’ve been great to work with until the last time I came in. I went to Tams wanting to get my PC upgraded so it could better handle video editing. The gentleman that helped me indicated that I’d be better off buying a unit he had in stock for $1000.00 vs trying to upgrade my existing computer. I took his advice, bought the unit and paid to have Tams clone my old PC to the new PC I just bought. I had to leave my PC at Tams overnight to be cloned… I got a call from a Tams tech the following day. The tech explained to me that I didn’t buy a new PC, the unit I was sold was a server, not a PC (something that powers multiple computers) and it would be expensive and difficult to maintain longterm. He went on to explain that he had a Thinkstation PC that would be a great fit for my needs.(and I should return the server) He also said it would cost less than half of what the server cost. That sounded good to me so I agreed. At this point I’ve paid Tams roughly $1200.00 and driven to their location 5 times. A few days later I got a call from the tech stating that my PC was ready to go. I was excited but this is where things got really obnoxious. When I went in to pickup the new Thinkstation, the gal at the front desk explained to me that the Thinkstation cost $1000.00 and I wouldn’t be getting a credit back for returning the server (despite the tech saying the Thinkstation would cost less than half of what the server cost). She was nice but basically told me there was nothing she could do. I went home that night and did my own research on the Thinkstation I just paid $1000.00 for. The Thinkstation that I bought was listed for sale on their website for $325.00. I was really frustrated and drove back to Tams the following morning. When I arrived, I asked to talk to a manager so I could hopefully get this resolved. Guess who the manager is…. The manager of Tams is the gal who helped me the night before… I explained to her that the computer I paid $1000.00 for is still listed on their website for $325.00. Once she heard that, she refunded me $500.00. I have no idea how she came up with the amount of $500.00. All-in-all, it was pretty frustrating and a huge waste of my time.
