KK's Loans Music & Jewelry

I've been a singer/songwriter for... well let's just say 50+ years. A few days ago I was at a local writer's night and my trusted guitar was stolen from the area where musicians put their instruments for the evening. Mine wasn't the only one taken, but it was the only one that effected me. My daughter and I visited pawn shops the next day in hopes of finding my guitar...or finding something to replace it with. There are 3 shops in my town. This is a sore story for me so I'll just cut to the chase. None of the jerks in any of the pawn shops in Manchester, TN knew anything about anything. They weren't even aware of the tobacco spit dribbling off their chins. You would think, customarally, a proprietor would greet customers when they enter the establishment. No one even looked up at us. When my daughter and I got a look at the inventory they offered we understood why. Nobody would want that garbage and they wouldn't know what to do if someone brought them something of any value. If my guitar ended up there it would be forgotten or worse. We had errands to run, prescriptions to pick up in Tullahoma, etc. On the way through Tullahoma we pulled into KK's Loans Music & Jewelry. They had a big red sign that said "MUSIC" that had always been a worm on a hook to me. Well, today was the day I bit. As soon as I walked in two different people spoke to me. I don't know about you, but that carries me miles. At any rate, they hadn't heard anything about my stolen guitar (of course not), but I took a few minutes to look at what they had on the rack. There was nothing cheaper than a Fender acoustic. They took their time with me. Let me play any guitar I wanted and were flexible. The guy that eventually worked the deal with me was not just a counterman. He was a knowledgeable picker. I just can't recommend these guys enough. I ended up with a Takamine GY93E. Ain't it a honey!?!

It's hard to find dope pawn shops like these, chill and inviting atmosphere, lots of cool things to shop around for, and friendly and helpful staff. I came in looking for a gift for a close friend of mine, and huge shout-out to Courtney, she helped me find some rings that matched together perfectly!

Great prices and quality equipment/entertainment, & items/accessories. Patient, and understanding of my problems. So, I'm assuming that's why it feels so awkward every time we visit here, though. We started having to pawn every little item about a year ago just to make it thru, no matter how small, or big the significance of the item. It's probably just my insecurities showing, but I'd like to think I know, or at least feel when I'm not wanted and I can't help but feel that way every time we come in here. They're nice, but it's that awkward nice, like it's forced just because they're not naturally rude people. Lol Thx

Best pawn shop in town..the staff members are professional and friendly. They have beautiful jewelry along with lots of other nice items to browse and great deals!!! Highly recommend KKs!
