Hi-Tech Communication

Scammers. I went to get a new screen put on my phone. They told me 375 dollars for a new screen. They gave me a runaround for nearly a week. Finally after a week they put the screen on my phone. When I went to pick up the phone, the screen was used and all scratched up. I told the guy I'm not paying 375 dollars for a used screen... he tells me if I want a new screen it's more expensive and that he has to order one from Samsung. I told him "that's what you said you were doing in the first place! Why would I pay 375 for a used screen when other places were offering a new screen for 400?" He says "oh, but it's a cash job so you'd have to pay taxes there too." Like, what the hell? You're making extra by doing a cash job too buddy. The reason it took nearly a week is because he was busy trying to find a used screen to try to rip me off and make as much money as he could off of me. I look in the bottom of the phone and notice my stylus is missing... he goes over to another phone and pulls out (my?) a stylus and gives it to me. He then tells me he'll get the new screen the next day and put it on for me. When I get home, I noticed my battery power was cut down to less than half of what it was. It was basically on a fresh charge, so maybe at like 80%. When I got it back it was at like less than 20%. So now I'm skeptical and paranoid because I think this guy swapped my good battery for a crappy one. Days pass. No call. 4 or 5 days later he tells me he has the new screen and I should come back and he will swap it for me. At this point I tell him I don't want him touching my phone again because he is a liar and I don't trust him. He proceeds to lie several more times on the phone to me. I tried to make things right by telling him to give me my deposit back and an extra 50 bucks for my time and I will go and swap my screen somewhere else and bring him his old scratched up screen back. He refuses and says he will swap it. I tell him no because he's a liar and continues to lie to me. So after a bunch of back and forths, I end the conversation. Now him and his employee are continuing to harass my phone incessantly. Be forwarned. Don't do business with this place as they are dishonest and they will harass you. His employee seemed like a nice guy though, and he should find a job somewhere else because his boss a bit of goof.

Had given my IPhone 13 Pro to them to fix for over 2 weeks. After a lot of phone calls and follow up’s finally got my phone back today late night, now will take it to an authorized iPhone dealer to fix it. I hope nothing is missing from inside and it can be fixed by a professional. Never give them your phone as they are very unreliable, unprofessional and unorganized. They will never return your calls or give any sort of feedback on your repair. I left many messages and called them a lot of times after giving them my phone, they never updated neither returned my phone calls or messages. They kept changing their diagnostic about my phone as to buy more time always. Met with 3 different ppl at different times and none was satisfactory. Gave me a lot of inconvenience, literally forced them to give me back my phone as too much inconvenience caused by them to me made me change my mind to have them fix my phone, not to mention they kept on increasing price. I don’t mind waiting to get my phone fixed but at least keep me posted and return my calls and don’t make me come to your shop just to find out what’s happening with my phone while I am working even after telling them that I am busy and can’t come during my work hours. But they didn’t care and almost never picked up or returned my calls. Is not that they are always very busy, whenever I went to their shop saw them non occupied or hardly having a customer. Part 2 of my experience: least expected this in my post above but came true - Alert!! Beware of Scammers & Fraudsters- Went to Hi-Tech Communication at 300 Taunton Rd East to have my untouched unopened(never had repairs done on it before - 2 years old phone with expired warranty) IPhone 13pro Max repaired(Display Problem) - After 2 weeks of chase, no update, no phone calls being returned, leaving voice messages and visiting them twice during work hours got my phone back 10pm. Shop said initially they thought it was a display problem but it’s needs a motherboard replaced. Took my phone to Apple Store to repair, was SHOCKED to know after seeing their report and pictures that my iPhone has a third party display and motherboard faulty and would cost me $800 for repairs. Hi-Tech took out my Iphone Original Display and replaced with a third party display and made my phone even worse for repairs and then returned my phone after chase. Called Hi-Tech and they hang up on me and not listening to what problems I had encountered. Called up police they said it’s a civil matter. Now speaking to lawyers(You all know how costly, inconvenient and time consuming this all can get). This is so upsetting and saddening knowing I am helpless and vulnerable at the hands of these scammers and there isn’t much I can do. I had contacted Hi-Tech Communications on 11th June and send proof of report from Apple and pictures to them via text and WhatsApp - as always they turned a blind eye on me and hang up(the owner). Spoke with the worker and owner. Worker refused to listen and talk to me and asked me to call the owner. Anyone has a solution to my problem please advise. Please repost this to as many social media platforms and groups to cause awareness. Stay away from Hi-Tech Communication. Thank you.

phoned to inquire regarding fixing a phone screen. The gentleman had suggested to check with my service provider to see if they can upgrade the phone for no cost compared to fixing the screen for over $250 on an old phone. I greatly appreciate his honesty and willingness to help others to save some money. I will be returning eventually to have him fix this older phone screen to have as a back up, but would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for an honest opinion or repairs to be completed.

i just want to say ignore all the older reviews . i went in today to get my phone fixed. 15 min in and out, i called 10+ vendors they gave me the cheapest phone repair quote.. they added a screen protector and fixed my speaker and tried to give me a discount ontop of all that. best place i been to to get my phone fixed . if i can rate them 6 stars i would !

Very friendly and helpful. Cleaned my phone and put the screen protector on and phone back in it’s case for me. Amazing price too! I will be going back to this store anytime I need something to do with my phone. Highly recommend.
