Horrible service. You make a reservation and show up on Time only to wait another 30 minutes before they see you. To top it off we paid for a screen protector warranty and they're telling us they broke their deal with the manufacturer so I had to pay an installation fee. I spent $900 in May on a Apple tablet Apple pencil and screen protector and the tablet failed in the first two months which I had to wait a week and a half for a replacement under warranty. They are overpriced crooks who don't honor their warranties!
Geek Squad was incredibly helpful and always super nice and friendly. I came in to get my screen fixed because my phone was glitching very badly and then after they replaced it my speaker stopped working so they fixed that for free. They were always super welcoming and fun to talk to and fixed everything very quickly and it was easy to make an appointment. I always felt taken care of and comfortable
Every single time I've come into the store it's been over an hour wait to even talk to a cashier. They're great when you actually get to talk to them. Other than the week of your life you're donating to their please wait here sign.
I bought a new computer at Best Buy and Geek Squad was supposed to upload the old information from my old computer onto my new computer. It was supposed to take 2 to 3 days and it took closer to six. Best Buy corporate seems to understaff the Geek Squad and there’s usually just one or two at the desk. With little help for the Customer. When the computer was finished, they didn’t call me like they said they would. When I called them, they said I’d have to wait for an appointment to get my computer back. I just went in and got my computer back. When I got my computer, they changed the password so I couldn’t get into the computer so I have to wait another day until they open the following morning to get the password that they used on my computer. Not fun! They need to hire more staff and treat the customer better. I’ve been out of computer for about a week.
I have Geek Squad protection plans on all of my major devices. I had to take in my laptop the other day because of software malfunctioning, but I had only purchased a hardware protection plan, not realizing that there was a difference between that and an antivirus plan. They helped me back up my files and wiped my machine clean again. Great customer service and smart management staff. Five Stars!
