Geek Squad

Horrible service. I made a reservation and showed up on time, only to wait another 30 minutes. They didn't honor my screen protector warranty and made me pay an installation fee. I spent $900 in May on an Apple tablet, pencil, and screen protector, and the tablet failed after two months. I had to wait a week and a half for a replacement under warranty. They're overpriced and don't honor their warranties!

Geek Squad was incredibly helpful, nice, and friendly. They fixed my glitching phone screen, and when the speaker stopped working afterward, they fixed that for free. They were welcoming, fun to talk to, and fixed everything quickly. It was easy to make an appointment. I always felt taken care of and comfortable.

Every time I come in, it's over an hour wait just to talk to a cashier. They're great when you finally get to them, but you'll waste a week of your life waiting.

Geek Squad was supposed to transfer data from my old computer to my new one. It took six days instead of the promised 2-3. Best Buy seems to understaff them, with only one or two people at the desk. They didn't call me when it was done. When I called, they said I needed an appointment to get it back. They changed my password, so I couldn't access my computer. I had to wait another day to get the password. Not fun! They need more staff and better customer service. I was without my computer for about a week.

I have Geek Squad protection plans on all my devices. My laptop had software issues, but I only had a hardware protection plan. They backed up my files and wiped my machine clean. Great customer service and smart management. Five stars!
